David Berry Obituary, Death; – A man from Myrtle Beach lost his life after being struck by an unidentified vehicle in the Conway area on Saturday, November 16, according to authorities. Master Trooper William Bennett of the South Carolina Highway Patrol reported that the incident occurred around 1:40 a.m. on U.S. 501, approximately two miles east of Conway.
The Horry County Coroner’s Office has identified the deceased pedestrian as 50-year-old David Berry from Myrtle Beach. Berry was hit while he was standing outside his vehicle in the emergency lane. The coroner’s office confirmed that he succumbed to multiple traumatic injuries at 2:14 a.m. at Conway Medical Center.
According to Bennett, an unidentified vehicle was traveling north on U.S. 501 when it veered off the right side of the road and collided with Berry. The impact caused Berry to strike his own disabled 2015 sedan, and the vehicle responsible for the incident fled the scene.
