Daryl Pierson Obituary, – It has been a decade since RPD Officer Daryl Pierson lost his life in the line of duty. On September 3, 2014, Officer Pierson was fatally shot at close range while pursuing a suspect in the vicinity of Hudson Avenue and Ernst Street.
He was immediately transported to Rochester General Hospital, where medical personnel made efforts to save him; however, Officer Pierson succumbed to his injuries at the age of 32.
The individual responsible for this tragic event was identified as Thomas Johnson III. On September 10, 2014, Officer Pierson was laid to rest at White Haven Memorial Park, leaving behind a grieving wife and two children.
