Darryl Fulcher Obituary, Death; – Fayetteville Police announced on Tuesday that they are reclassifying a November assault and robbery as a homicide following the victim’s death from sustained injuries.
The incident occurred in mid-November in the 300 block of Person Street. That evening, detectives visited Cape Fear Valley Medical Center to interview the victim, who was in critical condition due to the assault.
The victim, identified as 58-year-old Darryl Fulcher, succumbed to his injuries. According to police, Fulcher was residing at the Eagle Inn on Person Street at the time of the robbery and assault. Investigators revealed that the incident was reported on November 20, although Fulcher had been attacked and robbed several days prior. Authorities indicated that the incident did not appear to be random in nature.
The Fayetteville/Cumberland County Crimestoppers program is offering a cash reward of up to $2,000 for any information leading to an arrest related to this case.
