Daniel Stahl Obituary, Death; Springfield teenager dies following a fight in downtown St. Louis

Daniel Stahl Obituary, Death; – A man is facing charges following the death of a teenager from Springfield and the injury of a woman after a confrontation outside a downtown St. Louis apartment building.

As reported by the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department, officers responded to the 1500 block of Washington Avenue at approximately 1:20 a.m. on Sunday due to reports of a fight and gunfire. Upon their arrival, they discovered that a 16-year-old boy had been struck by a vehicle and a 29-year-old woman had sustained gunshot wounds and was also hit by a car.

The deceased boy, identified as Daniel Stahl from Springfield, was pronounced dead at the scene. The woman was transported to the hospital and is currently in stable condition. According to police, the altercation erupted between two groups as a result of an unauthorized rooftop loft party. This confrontation escalated to gunfire exchanged between both groups.

Subsequently, a vehicle drove onto the sidewalk, and an occupant began firing shots. The car struck both the boy and the woman before fleeing the scene. The vehicle was later located, and two individuals were apprehended.

George McDonald III has since been charged with leaving the scene of an accident that resulted in death. The identity of the other individual taken into custody remains undisclosed, and no charges have been filed against them.
