Daniel L Northrup Obituary, Death;- New York State Police have released the identity of the man killed in a tractor-trailer crash on the New York State Thruway on the morning of August 13.
Daniel L. Northrup, 40, of Auburn, was pronounced dead at the scene after his westbound rig drifted off Interstate 90 in the town of Phelps, Seneca County, around 7:40 a.m., police said. His tractor-trailer traveled along the right shoulder’s guardrail before overturning onto its side on a sloped embankment.
Northrup was the sole occupant of the vehicle. The trailer remained attached and was carrying non-hazardous products.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
