Daniel Isaac Aguilar Obituary, Death; Fight with girlfriend preceded stabbing death in Apple Valley, charges say

Daniel Isaac Aguilar Obituary, Death; – A dispute and altercation resulted in the fatal stabbing of a 21-year-old man on a sidewalk in Apple Valley early Sunday, as indicated by murder charges against the suspected assailant, who authorities report is still at large.

Aron Isait Medina Rojas, a 20-year-old from Minneapolis, was charged on Tuesday through a sealed warrant complaint with second-degree intentional murder related to the death of Daniel Isaac Aguilar, which occurred near the intersection of Pennock Avenue and 138th Street.

An autopsy conducted by the Hennepin County Medical Examiner’s Office revealed that Aguilar succumbed to multiple stab wounds, including one to the left side of his chest. The coroner’s office identified his residence as Burnsville, while the Dakota County Attorney’s Office stated on Thursday that he resided in Apple Valley.

“As our family begins to process this unimaginable loss and make arrangements, we want to thank everyone who has reached out with love, prayers, and support,” wrote Aguilar’s aunt, Andrea Rodriguez, on a GoFundMe page (gofund.me/547385b0) established for funeral costs. “Your kindness means more than words can express.”

On Tuesday, the Apple Valley police identified Medina Rojas as a suspect in the homicide and requested assistance in locating him. He is known to drive a 2018 gray Chrysler 300 with the Minnesota license plate number JPU 845 and may be attempting to evade law enforcement by fleeing to Mexico, according to police reports.

As per the Dakota County District Court criminal complaint, which was unsealed on Thursday: At approximately 3:12 p.m., law enforcement was summoned to the residential area following reports of an unresponsive individual lying on the sidewalk. Upon arrival, they discovered Aguilar covered in blood and unresponsive, with his body still warm to the touch. He was declared dead at the scene.

Surveillance footage from the vicinity captured Aguilar walking along the sidewalk at 2:38 a.m., close to the location where his body was later discovered. He then moved out of the camera’s view.
