Dafne Michelle Davila Obituary, Death; – The family of the woman fatally stabbed in far east El Paso over the weekend has spoken to KINT. As reported by KINT, the victim has been identified as 27-year-old Dafne Michelle Davila. The tragic event took place early Sunday morning on Zinc Place.
Deputies arrived at the scene around 3:30 a.m. and discovered Davila in critical condition.
She was transported to the hospital, where she succumbed to her injuries. The suspect, 30-year-old Jorge Albert Chavez, was observed leaving the premises. “She wasn’t prepared to leave; she had numerous plans,” remarked a family member of Davila.
The family disclosed that Davila had experienced domestic abuse at the hands of Chavez. They noted that although they witnessed multiple instances of abuse, the relationship persisted. Davila’s mother is calling on women to speak out if they are enduring violence in their relationships.
According to the family, Davila was murdered just one day prior to her birthday. With the help of the Texas Rangers and the Reeves County Sheriff’s Office, Chavez was apprehended without incident. Authorities have stated that the investigation into the stabbing remains ongoing.
