Cristian Mendivil Obituary, Death; – A 30-year-old man who died in the hospital following a June 16 crash on State Highway 55 has been identified by the Ada County Coroner’s Office.
The coroner on Tuesday said Cristian Mendivil of McCall died from traumatic blunt force injuries suffered in the three-vehicle collision. He was pronounced dead in the ICU after lifesaving measures were unsuccessful.
Police said he was not wearing a seatbelt and was taken to an area hospital with critical injuries. Mendivil struck two northbound pickup trucks – a silver Ram 2500 and a white Ram 2500 – in the crash around 6:55 a.m. Monday, June 16. The other two drivers involved were wearing seatbelts and were not transported for medical care.
The crash remains under investigation by Idaho State Police.
