Cortez Lowery,Kedric Lamon Johnson Obituary, Death; – Two individuals lost their lives in distinct traffic accidents in Birmingham during the holiday weekend.
The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office has identified the deceased as Cortez Lowery, aged 41, and Kedric Lamon Johnson, aged 49. Both individuals resided in Birmingham.
Lowery was discovered deceased at 1:49 a.m. on Saturday in the 9000 block of Zion City Road. Chief Deputy Coroner Bill Yates reported that there were no witnesses to the incident, and the exact timing of the crash remains unclear. Lowery was the driver and the only occupant of the vehicle involved.
Johnson also succumbed to injuries sustained in a single-vehicle accident. This incident occurred in the 200 block of Pratt Highway. He was transported to UAB Hospital, where he was declared dead at 10:02 p.m. on Sunday. The Birmingham police are currently investigating the details surrounding both accidents.
