Corrina Mckenzie Guitron Obituary, Death;- The Kern County Coroner’s Office has confirmed the identity of the wrong-way driver who lost her life on Highway 58 as 40-year-old Corrina Mckenzie Guitron from Ridgecrest.
On June 18, 2025, at approximately 1:31 p.m., officers from the California Highway Patrol were dispatched to a vehicle collision on Highway 58, situated west of Highway 202, in the vicinity of Tehachapi.
According to the CHP, the incident involved a driver traveling in the wrong direction. The individual, identified as Guitron, is believed to have been operating a Jeep in a westbound direction within the eastbound lanes of Highway 58, just west of Highway 202.
As reported by the CHP, a Ram 1500 was traveling eastbound in the correct lanes on Highway 58, also west of Highway 202, at the time of the collision. Guitron succumbed to her injuries and was the sole occupant of her vehicle.
The driver of the Ram 1500 was transported to Kern Medical Center for treatment of injuries sustained in the crash. Anyone who witnessed this incident is encouraged to contact the CHP Mojave Area office at (661) 823-5500.
