Cooper Schoenke Obituary, Death;- The individual accused of striking and fatally injuring a 19-year-old in Little Five Points, following a pursuit by a state trooper, has been charged with felony murder and several additional offenses, as announced by prosecutors on Wednesday.

On the evening of April 14, a trooper from the Georgia State Patrol attempted to stop Faduma Mohamed, 24, from Stone Mountain, for purportedly speeding and driving recklessly on I-20 eastbound near Boulevard, according to the DeKalb County District Attorney’s Office.
Mohamed exited the interstate onto Moreland Avenue heading northbound, with the trooper trailing her for nearly two miles in a high-speed pursuit, as reported by the DA’s office.
Subsequently, Mohamed allegedly disregarded a red light at the intersection of Moreland Avenue and Euclid Avenue, colliding with another vehicle and resulting in the death of 19-year-old Cooper Schoenke.
In addition to the felony murder charge, prosecutors indicated that Mohamed was indicted on Tuesday by a DeKalb County grand jury on the following counts:
– 4 counts of first-degree vehicular homicide
– Fleeing or attempting to elude a police officer
– DUI-driving under the influence with a controlled substance present in blood
– DUI-driving under the influence of drugs (less safe)
– DUI-driving under the influence of multiple substances (less safe)
– Reckless driving
– Possession of methamphetamine
The DA’s office stated that Mohamed will be arraigned before a superior court judge, after which a trial date will be established.
