Cievion Smith Obituary, Death; – The individual suspected of a shooting that resulted in the death of a 32-year-old man from Fairborn on Monday night was apprehended in Kentucky on Wednesday. Fairborn police have identified a 38-year-old man as the suspect, and a warrant for his arrest was issued.
According to Fairborn police Sgt. Nathan Penrod, investigators discovered that the man had fled to Oak Grove, Kentucky. On Wednesday around noon, the police in Oak Grove located the suspect and took him into custody. The suspect is set to be extradited back to Greene County. As of Wednesday afternoon, he had not been formally charged.
On Monday night, Fairborn police responded to reports of a shooting that occurred near June Drive and Williams Street. Officers discovered a man, identified as 32-year-old  suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene. According to police, Smith resided in an apartment in the vicinity.
