Christopher Rainey Arrested; Roommate accused of killing Las Vegas landlord over eviction notice identified

Christopher Rainey Arrested; – The individual charged with the murder of his landlord, who was simultaneously his roommate, during a dispute regarding his eviction, has been identified by law enforcement as Christopher Rainey.

The deceased, whose name will be disclosed by the Clark County Coroner’s office, was discovered within the residence on Thursday afternoon, suffering from gunshot injuries. He succumbed to his wounds at the location, which is situated in the 3600 block of North Campbell Road, close to West Gowan Road.

Rainey, aged 36, is currently facing charges of murder and assault, as per the records from the Clark County Detention Center.

According to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police, the victim had issued an eviction notice to Rainey, which led to Rainey becoming agitated, and “following a brief verbal confrontation, he shot the victim multiple times.”

Another roommate residing in the house dialed 911 to report that his roommates were engaged in a fight and that a shooting had occurred. In total, four roommates occupied the residence, including the victim, who also served as the landlord. Rainey was apprehended without any complications.
