Christopher James Easton Obituary, Death; – The Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) has publicly disclosed the identity of a motorcyclist who tragically lost his life in a collision on July 29.
According to the police department, they were notified of an incident involving a motorcycle and a mid-size SUV at the intersection of Constitution Avenue and Sierra Drive shortly after 9 p.m.
After conducting an investigation, authorities determined that the SUV was traveling south on Sierra at Constitution, while the motorcycle was heading west on Constitution in the right lane as it approached Sierra. The SUV was reportedly making a left turn when the motorcycle swerved left in an effort to avoid a collision but ultimately struck the left side of the SUV.
Law enforcement stated that both the driver and the passenger of the motorcycle were thrown from the vehicle.
CSPD reported that medical personnel arrived at the scene and transported the motorcycle operator, an adult male, along with a female passenger, to a nearby hospital.
Unfortunately, the motorcycle driver succumbed to his injuries later on.
The El Paso County Coroner’s Office has identified the deceased motorcyclist as 28-year-old Christopher James Easton.
CSPD noted that this incident marks the 34th traffic-related accident in Colorado Springs for the year, in contrast to 32 incidents recorded at the same time in 2024.
