Christopher DeFeo Obituary, Death;- The Delaware State Police have identified a 48-year-old man who was fatally injured earlier this week when a vehicle left the roadway and struck him near Ogletown. Christopher DeFeo, a resident of Newark, passed away on April 28 after a Nissan Altima, traveling north on Salem Church Road, veered onto the right shoulder and collided with him.
Following the impact, the Nissan continued through a grassy area before crashing into a tree and overturning, according to police reports. The 18-year-old driver from Newark sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to a local hospital for medical care. State police are currently investigating the circumstances that led to the young man veering off the road, although they have not disclosed the speed at which he was driving.
