Christian Ortiz Obituary, Death;- Detectives from the Major Crimes Division of the Montgomery County Police are currently conducting an investigation into the fatal shooting of an 18-year-old male from Silver Spring. The deceased, identified as Christian Ortiz, was discovered on Tuesday night at Seek Lane Park.
Officers responded to a shooting report near the intersection of Barron Street and Domer Avenue at approximately 9:46 p.m. Upon their arrival, they found Ortiz in the playground area of the park suffering from a gunshot wound. Despite the life-saving efforts made by both the police and Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services, Ortiz was pronounced dead at the scene.
The investigation is ongoing, with detectives actively seeking to identify potential suspects or motives. Authorities are encouraging anyone with relevant information to come forward.
