Chad Easley Obituary, Death; – Troopers from the Louisiana State Police are currently looking into a fatal accident that occurred on the night of Tuesday, April 15, resulting in one death.
The deceased has been identified as 46-year-old Chad Easley from Kentwood. The incident, involving a single vehicle, took place shortly before 10 p.m. on Highway 10, just west of Highway 1054 in Tangipahoa Parish.
As per the preliminary findings of the Louisiana State Police, Easley was driving eastbound on Highway 10 in a 1999 Dodge Ram when, for reasons that are still being investigated, the vehicle veered off the road to the right and collided with a tree.
Authorities reported that Easley succumbed to his injuries at the scene of the accident. It has been confirmed that he was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the incident. While impairment is not believed to be a factor, a standard toxicology sample has been collected for further analysis. The investigation is ongoing.
