Cedrick Edwards Obituary, Death; – Detectives are once again appealing for information regarding a shooting incident in 2023 that resulted in the death of a Clayton County businessman.
It has been over two years since Cedrick Edwards was fatally shot near his business on Flint Trail. On the night of the incident, Clayton County police responded to reports in Jonesboro and discovered Edwards with multiple gunshot wounds.
He was immediately transported to the hospital, where he underwent several medical procedures in an effort to save his life. Unfortunately, on August 23, 2023, he succumbed to his injuries, classifying the shooting as a homicide.
Since Edwards’ passing, law enforcement has not released any new details regarding the ongoing investigation. The motive for the shooting remains unclear. Detectives urge anyone with information related to the shooting to contact the Crime Stoppers Atlanta tip line at (404) 577-8477.
