Carson Wilson Obituary, Death; – A 14-year-old has lost his life, and three other teenagers, including his brother, are in critical condition following a collision with a tree early Monday morning, according to police reports.
On Tuesday, authorities identified the deceased as Carson Wilson from Groton. His older brother, 17-year-old Skyler Wilson, also from Groton, is reported to be in “very critical condition,” as indicated by a GoFundMe campaign established to support the family financially.
The organizer of the fundraiser noted that Carson’s organs were donated. Like Skyler, the other surviving victims of the crash are also 17 years old, as confirmed by police. All four individuals were former students in Groton, according to the superintendent’s office.
The accident occurred around 1:20 a.m. on Fishtown Road in Groton, near Little Gull Lane. An iPhone Crash Detection alert, followed by calls to 911, notified authorities of the incident. Initial investigations reveal that the driver of the Toyota 4Runner was traveling north on Fishtown Road, just south of the Mystic River Magnet School, when the vehicle crossed into the southbound lane and veered off the road, colliding with a tree.
