Carrie March Obituary, Death;- A woman lost her life in a collision involving two vehicles on U.S. 24, located east of Logansport, on Tuesday afternoon.
Emergency responders, including the Cass County Sheriff’s Office, arrived at the scene of the accident at the intersection of U.S. 24 and County Road 600 East around 3 p.m. on Tuesday.
According to investigators, 47-year-old Carrie March from Logansport was traveling north on County Road 600 East when she made a turn into the westbound lanes of U.S. 24, directly into the path of an approaching SUV. She was subsequently airlifted to Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne, where she succumbed to her injuries.
The driver of the other SUV, a 39-year-old woman from Logansport, along with a 3-year-old passenger in her vehicle, were transported to IU Arnett Hospital in Lafayette with injuries that were not life-threatening.
