Carlos Magana Obituary, Death; – The individual suspected of shooting and killing a person on Wednesday night in South Sacramento has been identified as Carlos Magana, 40, originally from Mexico, as reported by the Sacramento Police Department.
According to SPD, patrol officers responded on Wednesday to the 3800 block of Florin Road following reports of a shooting. Upon arrival at the scene, one officer discovered a man suffering from a gunshot wound.
Despite the officers’ efforts to assist the victim, he was declared dead at the scene by fire personnel, as stated by SPD. The police were able to locate and apprehend the suspect, who was in the vicinity.
Homicide Detectives and Crime Scene Investigators were dispatched to the scene, where they canvassed the area and conducted interviews with witnesses, according to police reports. Magana has been arrested and is currently booked into the Sacramento County Main Jail on charges related to homicide, as confirmed by law enforcement.
