Carl David Simpkins II Obituary, Death; – Authorities have identified a motorcyclist who tragically lost his life following a collision with a car last week in Charleston. Carl David Simpkins II, aged 37, from Raleigh, North Carolina, succumbed to his injuries on Friday, October 11, after an accident on Kanawha Boulevard East, as reported by the Kanawha County Sheriff’s Office.
According to the news release, Simpkins collided with a vehicle that was making a turn onto Piedmont Road. He was subsequently transported to CAMC General Hospital, where he later passed away due to his injuries. The 20-year-old driver of the other vehicle remained at the scene and fully cooperated with the investigation, which concluded that he was not impaired by drugs or alcohol.
