Carizma Fox Obituary, Death;- Police have identified the 17-year-old girl who was shot and killed in Waterbury early Friday morning.
They identified her as Carizma Fox, of Waterbury. Waterbury police said she was enrolled at the Enlightenment School. The superintendent of schools in Waterbury released a statement to the school community on Friday.
“It is with profound sadness that I share the tragic loss of one of our students at Enlightenment School. Our heartfelt condolences go out to the family and friends during this difficult time,” Superintendent Dr. Darren Schwartz wrote.
“Please join me in thoughts and prayers as we work through this difficult time together,” Schwartz added.
Officers found Fox outside, suffering from a gunshot wound, when they responded to Willow Street around 2:48 a.m. Friday. She was transported to a local hospital, where she later died from her injuries, police said.
