Bruce Garcia Obituary, Death; – On Friday night, numerous individuals convened in the Fairhill neighborhood of Philadelphia to honor the memory of a man who lost his life during an officer-involved shooting.
Family members have identified him as Bruce Garcia, also referred to as ‘Angel.’
The incident occurred on Wednesday night when two officers approached Garcia, who was walking in the vicinity of Mutter and Somerset streets. Authorities report that a confrontation took place, during which Garcia allegedly retrieved a firearm from his bag, resulting in its discharge.
Consequently, two officers discharged their weapons, hitting Garcia in the stomach; he was later pronounced dead at the hospital. Both officers have been assigned to administrative duties while an investigation is underway.
