Brandon Ogden Obituary, Death;- The Mahoning County Coroner’s Office has disclosed the identity of a man who was fatally shot in a homicide incident in Youngstown on Friday night. The deceased has been identified as 27-year-old Brandon Ogden. The shooting occurred shortly after 11 p.m. on Ohio Avenue, close to Upland Avenue.
Ogden was transported to the hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries at approximately 12:30 a.m. on Saturday. The individual suspected of the shooting has been named as 29-year-old Jonathan Simmons, who was apprehended on a murder charge following a traffic stop conducted by the Milton Township Police Department.
Simmons was arraigned on Monday afternoon, during which his bond was established at $1 million in cash surety. Judge Renee DiSalvo indicated that this is a “hold do not release bond,” signifying that he cannot be released from custody prior to his trial. Currently, there is no information available regarding Simmons’ next court appearance.
