Barry S Marler Obituary, Death; – The Tucson Police Department apprehended a man this morning, November 28, in relation to the death of an individual that occurred last week. According to the TPD, 65-year-old Joe Curtis O’Cain is currently being held on a bond of one million dollars at the Pima County Jail.
The TPD reports that officers were dispatched to an apartment located at 1346 North Stone Avenue on November 21 after receiving a report regarding an unresponsive male. This location is situated near the intersection of Speedway and Stone. Authorities have stated that 64-year-old Barry S. Marler was declared deceased at the scene.
Investigations revealed that Marler appeared to have suffered physical trauma. An autopsy concluded that the cause of death was homicide. Detectives revisited forensic evidence and conducted follow-up interviews, ultimately establishing probable cause to charge Mr. O’Cain with kidnapping and first-degree murder.
