Austin Thomas Wyrosdick Obituary, Death; – The Bexar County Medical Examiner has confirmed the identity of the individual whose skull was recently found outside a plumbing business in Northwest San Antonio.
Authorities have verified that the remains belong to 30-year-old Austin Thomas Wyrosdick. Wyrosdick’s skull was discovered by an employee on September 15, situated outside Harrell Commercial Plumbing, located at the intersection of North San Jacinto Street and West Poplar Street.
Walter Stephens, the employee who made the discovery, reported that he stumbled upon the remains while mowing the lawn and initially did not recognize what he had found.
“I was cutting grass and then I saw something that looked like a dried cantaloupe,” Stephens stated.
Upon realizing the significance of his find, Stephens hurried inside to inform his supervisor, and they subsequently contacted the police.
When officers from the San Antonio Police Department and park police arrived, they confirmed the presence of what appeared to be a decomposing skull and later uncovered additional potential body parts at the location.
The medical examiner has yet to ascertain the cause or manner of Wyrosdick’s death.
