Asiah Slone Obituary, Death; – Authorities have identified a second individual in connection with the homicide of a woman whose remains were found in a refuse container in Middletown.
Brandon Davis, aged 45, is currently sought under a warrant for his alleged involvement in aggravated murder, as stated by the Middletown Division of Police in a Facebook announcement on Wednesday afternoon.
The remains of 35-year-old Asiah Slone were discovered in a trash can located in an alleyway on the 1000 block of Centennial Avenue on July 1. According to Middletown police, Slone was last seen on June 6.
Court records from Butler County Common Pleas indicate that Perry Hart, aged 59, was indicted last month on multiple charges, including aggravated murder and kidnapping, related to Slone’s death.
When officers arrived to investigate a report of a potential deceased individual, they encountered two women who had been searching the vicinity for any signs of Slone and subsequently found the remains in a large Rumpke trash can, as per police documentation.
“I believe I know where my sister’s body is located,” one of the women informed a 911 dispatcher.
A criminal complaint filed in Middletown Municipal Court reveals that Hart confessed to detectives during an interview that Slone was initially shot once by another individual, after which he dragged her down the stairs into the basement while she was in distress. Police records indicate that he admitted to aiming the gun at her head, closing his eyes, and firing a shot that struck her, after which she ceased moaning.
Investigators retrieved a firearm from Hart’s backpack, which he claimed was the weapon used to shoot Slone on both occasions, according to the complaint. Detectives noted that he also recognized the tank top she wore that night from a photograph, which was later collected from her torso in the trash can.
