Arroyo-Roman Obituary, Death;- The New Haven police swiftly apprehended a suspect following the discovery of a woman’s body in an Elm City cemetery. Authorities attribute the arrest to a blend of investigative efforts, technological resources, and community collaboration.

The suspect, 55-year-old Edwin Arroyo-Roman, was taken into custody merely four days after the victim’s remains were located. Police report that Arroyo-Roman admitted to the murder. Mayor Justin Elicker (D) of New Haven stated, ‘If you take someone’s life in our community, if you engage in violence in our community, we will track you down.’ Arroyo-Roman faces charges of murder and evidence tampering in connection with the stabbing death of Naysha Mendez. Investigators promptly identified Arroyo-Roman as a suspect after interviewing both the victim’s family and his own.
