Anthony Truax,Danny Truax Obituary, Death; – The New York State Police have identified the two individuals who lost their lives in a shooting incident that occurred earlier this week at a residence in Massena.
According to state police, the deceased are 67-year-old Anthony Truax and 60-year-old Danny Truax, both of whom were discovered at a property located at 128 Beach Street. Initial investigations indicated that a shooting took place between the two men.
At the request of the Massena Police Department, the case was handed over to the State Police for further investigation. Troopers conducted several search warrants and processed the scene to collect evidence.
An autopsy conducted at Canton-Potsdam Hospital on Tuesday afternoon revealed that Anthony Truax succumbed to injuries from a gunshot wound to the torso, with his death classified as a homicide.
In contrast, Danny Truax’s death was determined to be the result of a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the chest, and it was classified as a suicide. Massena Police responded to the residence on Monday afternoon and subsequently requested assistance from the State Police to aid in the investigation.
