Anthony Sherwood Banfill Obituary, Death; – Nevada State Police have identified the motorcyclist involved in a fatal accident on Las Vegas Boulevard near Starr Avenue.
According to police reports, the incident occurred on Tuesday at 10:20 a.m. A driver operating a Toyota Camry was traveling southbound on Las Vegas Boulevard when a motorcyclist was heading northbound on the same road.
As the driver of the Toyota attempted to make a left turn onto east Barbara Lane, the motorcyclist collided with the right side of the vehicle. The motorcyclist has been identified as 20-year-old Anthony Sherwood Banfill, a resident of Las Vegas, who succumbed to his injuries at the hospital.
The investigation is being carried out by the Nevada State Police Highway Patrol’s Traffic Homicide Unit. As of 2024, the Nevada State Police Highway Patrol Southern Command has recorded 70 fatal accidents resulting in 78 deaths. It is important to note that the fatality data for 2024 is preliminary and may be subject to change as final investigations and coroner reports are completed.
