Anthony Miller Obituary, Death; – The Lincoln police have identified the individual who was struck and killed by a pickup truck on Sunday morning while jogging in south Lincoln as Anthony Miller, a 37-year-old resident of Omaha.
Miller was running alongside his wife on South 27th Street near Rokeby Road when the incident occurred at approximately 5:45 a.m.
According to the accident report, Gavin Maas, the driver of the Dodge Ram pickup involved in the collision, had noticed a woman running along the roadside and moved his vehicle over to create additional space. However, he did not see Miller, who was positioned in the center of the road, until he was directly in front of the driver’s side headlight.
Maas, who possessed dash camera footage of the event, informed the police that he was unable to prevent the collision. Following the incident, he pulled over and attempted to administer life-saving measures to Miller.
