Anthony Kenneth Hill Arrested; – A 33-year-old individual has been charged with assaulting a jogger on the Springwater Corridor last month. Anthony Kenneth Hill faces charges of first-degree attempted sexual abuse and felony public indecency.
The investigation commenced on September 4, when the victim was jogging along a trail in the Springwater Corridor near SE Johnson Creek Boulevard and SE Brookside Drive. During her run, a man on a bicycle passed her and subsequently jumped into the bushes further along the trail. The victim reported that he emerged from the bushes unclothed, with his hand on his genitals, and attempted to seize her. Fortunately, she managed to escape and sought assistance.
Hill was later identified as the suspect and taken into custody. On Monday, Hill appeared in a Multnomah County courtroom for arraignment, where he entered a plea of not guilty to both charges.
Detectives suspect that Hill may be linked to additional similar assaults. He is described as a white male, standing 5 feet 4 inches tall, weighing 130 pounds, with brown hair (often shaved) and brown eyes.
