Annie Brown Obituary, Death; – Authorities have disclosed the identity of a homicide victim in Midwest City as they investigate three potential connected murders in Oklahoma.
According to a news release from the Midwest City Police Department, they received a request from the Pontotoc County Sheriff’s Office at approximately 12:55 a.m. on Wednesday to conduct a welfare check on a resident located in the 1000 block of Locust Lane, near Northeast 10th Street and Midwest Boulevard. The sheriff’s office informed the police that a vehicle associated with a woman residing at the Midwest City address was discovered at the scene of a homicide in Pontotoc County.
Upon arrival at the residence, officers found a woman deceased from what appeared to be a gunshot wound. The victim was identified as 62-year-old Annie Brown.
The news release further indicated that a 42-year-old man, named Richard Chambers, had been residing in Brown’s backyard. It was also revealed that Chambers had taken her vehicle several hours prior to the discovery in Pontotoc County.
The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation informed KOCO 5 that two individuals had been murdered in the town of Allen, located in Pontotoc County, although details regarding those victims have not yet been disclosed.
The two homicide scenes initiated a manhunt for Chambers, who was deemed a person of interest and was considered armed and dangerous. Law enforcement later apprehended Chambers near Ada.
