Andrew Ruben Flores,Skylor Nan Lish Obituary, Death; – A driver and a passenger in a Kia, identified as 24-year-old Andrew Ruben Flores and 24-year-old Skylor Nan Lish, tragically lost their lives in a collision with a Freightliner in Merced County, as reported by Merced County Sheriff Deputy Michael Domingue.
The California Highway Patrol (CHP) responded to the incident, which took place shortly before midnight on December 16, just outside of Los Banos. Preliminary investigations by the CHP suggest that Flores may have failed to stop at a posted sign, resulting in the Kia colliding directly with the front of the tractor-trailer.
The impact caused both vehicles to come to rest in the median. Authorities confirmed that both individuals in the Kia were pronounced dead at the scene. Additionally, a 1-year-old child was taken to Valley Children’s Hospital as a precautionary measure. The driver of the Freightliner was reported to be unharmed, according to the CHP.
