Andre Udonus Nicholson Obituary, Death; – Two teenagers were shot, one of whom succumbed to his injuries, during an incident on Saturday night in Greenville.
The Greenville Police Department reported that officers responded to a residence on Mulberry Street at approximately 10:20 p.m. following reports of a shooting. Upon arrival, they discovered two teenagers suffering from gunshot wounds.
Both individuals were transported to a medical facility for care. One victim, aged 16, sustained injuries that were not life-threatening, while 17-year-old Andre Udonus Nicholson was reported to be in critical condition, as stated by the police department. The Greenville County Coroner’s Office later confirmed that Nicholson passed away from his injuries early Sunday morning.
Authorities have apprehended an 18-year-old suspect who was present at the scene. The shooting is believed to have resulted from a confrontation between individuals who had a previous relationship.
The identities of both the suspect in custody and the 16-year-old victim have not been disclosed by the police. An autopsy for Nicholson is scheduled for Monday. The investigation into the shooting is ongoing. Further updates will be provided as additional information becomes available.
