Amber Kirk Obituary, Death; – Law enforcement officials investigating a deadly hit-and-run incident have confirmed the identity of the victim as 36-year-old Amber Kirk, as stated by Topeka Police Lt. Ron Ekis.
The Topeka Police Department is appealing to the public for assistance in finding anyone who was present at the intersection of NW Topeka Boulevard and NW Paramore Street in Topeka during the time of the incident.
Shortly before 6 p.m. on November 15, police responded to a report of a hit-and-run injury accident at the intersection of NW Topeka Boulevard and NW Paramore Streets in Topeka. The incident involved a vehicle and a pedestrian.
The pedestrian, who was later identified as Kirk, was taken to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries, where she subsequently passed away.
During the investigation of this incident, police identified Sultan Y. Andemichael, an 18-year-old from Topeka, as a suspect. Andemichael was apprehended and taken to the Shawnee County Department of Corrections on November 17. He is currently in custody facing charges of Involuntary Manslaughter, Interference with Law Enforcement Officer, Concealment/Alteration/Destruction of Evidence in a Felony Case, and Failure to Stop After an Accident Resulting in Death.
