Alvin Parker,Heaven Hope Obituary, Death; – The Champaign County Coroner’s Office has disclosed the identities of two individuals who were fatally shot in Champaign within a span of approximately 25 hours last week.
Coroner Laurie Brauer confirmed that both victims hailed from Bloomington and succumbed to injuries sustained during the shootings. The first incident occurred on the evening of December 9, near the intersection of Springfield Avenue and Kenwood Road.
According to Brauer, Heaven Hope, aged 21, was shot while entering a business at 7:49 p.m. She was subsequently transported to Carle Hospital, where she was pronounced dead one hour later.
The following night, at 8:55 p.m., the Champaign County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report in the vicinity of Dobbins and Roland Drives, where they discovered a deceased male. Brauer identified him as Alvin Parker, aged 42, who was pronounced dead at 9:57 p.m. The investigations into both fatalities are ongoing.
