Alma Waite Obituary, Death; – New information has surfaced regarding a recent shooting incident that resulted in the deaths of three individuals in Gibson County, Indiana.

Seventy-seven-year-old Patrick Waite was taken into custody after authorities reported that he discharged a firearm, leading to the fatalities of several individuals at a residence in Haubstadt.

According to police documentation, his wife, Alma Waite, along with two of her relatives, sustained gunshot wounds to the head. Currently, Patrick Waite has lodged a complaint alleging elder abuse against the family of his deceased wife and her heirs.

In the complaint, Patrick Waite recounts that he met Alma Waite through an online dating platform, and she moved into his residence merely weeks thereafter. When they wed approximately five months following their initial meeting, none of his children were informed until the subsequent day.

The complaint asserts that his wife, Alma Waite, coerced him into permitting her family to reside in his home. Patrick Waite’s legal representatives assert that he was unaware of his wife’s family’s purported connections to criminal organizations, including the Sinaloa Cartel.

As per the complaint, Alma Waite obstructed Patrick Waite’s children and grandchildren from contacting him on his phone after his daughter attempted to alert him that she was a “con.”

Patrick Waite’s attorneys allege that Alma Waite’s sons have engaged in violent assaults, inflicted physical abuse on children, and issued violent threats, including threats against Patrick Waite’s life. The complaint indicates that Alma Waite persistently pressured Patrick Waite to modify the deed of the home to include her name, exploiting his age, emotions, and fears.

On April 1, 2024, Patrick Waite signed a document prepared by Alma Waite, which he believed would include both of their names on the deed for the residence. However, this was not the reality, as the complaint highlights that the document he signed actually removed his name from the deed, forfeiting his family home of 26 years.

Patrick Waite’s legal team contends that Alma Waite subsequently transferred the deed to her daughter in a bid to obstruct him from claiming any share of the property in the event of their separation. Less than 24 hours prior to Alma Waite’s passing, the complaint states that the home was listed for sale on a cash-only basis.
