Alice R Ferber Obituary, Death; – A teenage girl lost her life when an all-terrain vehicle overturned in the Town of Fremont, Sullivan County, on July 15.
According to the New York State Police, the ATV accident was reported in a field off County Road 94 shortly before 5:15 p.m. that day. State police indicated that on June 18, a preliminary investigation revealed that the 15-year-old ATV driver attempted a right-hand turn, which led to the vehicle flipping over.
The investigation found that both individuals were thrown from the ATV, which ultimately came to rest on top of the passenger, identified as 15-year-old Alice R. Ferber from Hankins. Ferber was declared dead at the scene.
The driver, whose identity has not been disclosed by state police, was transported to Garnet Health Medical Center Catskills in Harris for treatment of minor injuries. State police have stated that their investigation is ongoing.
