Alfraido Zeyouma Jr Obituary, Death; – The search is ongoing to locate the individual responsible for the shooting death of a 17-year-old over the weekend. The Clark County Coroner has identified the victim as Alfraido Zeyouma Jr., whose death resulted from multiple gunshot wounds.

North Las Vegas Police reported that they responded to a shooting incident before 2 a.m. at a business located in the 3100 block of East Lake Mead Boulevard, near Pecos Road, on Sunday, June 8. Investigators are currently seeking a red 2015-2017 Hyundai Sonata as a vehicle of interest related to the shooting.

The family of Zeyouma, who referred to him as “Junior,” continues to seek answers regarding the motive behind the shooting. “Why would someone do that to him? He was a good kid,” said Meagan Zeyouma, his mother. “He got along with everyone.”

Meagan mentioned that her son was just a month away from turning 18. “Next month was his birthday, and I am actually going to have to bury him in the same month he was born,” Meagan stated. “He was always laughing, always smiling, and always playing basketball. He was exceptionally good at basketball and cherished his family.”

Meagan recounted that her son wanted to borrow one of his parents’ cars to go out on Saturday night. “I told him I didn’t want him to borrow my car,” she said. “I genuinely wanted him to stay home. He asked his dad if he could borrow the truck because he really wanted to see this girl.”

Meagan noted that Junior was known for returning home if he went out at night. “He was a good kid; I could trust him,” Meagan remarked. “He wasn’t involved in gang activities or anything like that. He worked every day with his dad. After work, he would play basketball, come home, take a shower, and then hang out with his friends. He was just an average kid.”

She suspects that her son was attempting to purchase alcohol at a store in the shopping complex on the night of his murder, despite being underage. “He wanted to bring something to a party,” she explained. “He didn’t want to arrive empty-handed.” The circumstances that led to the gunfire remain a mystery to her and the family, who are seeking answers.
