Alexandra De Fina Obituary, Death; – A man from Cynthiana has received a 30-year prison sentence for the murder of the mother of his children. As reported by the Commonwealth’s Attorney’s Office, Joshua Thompson Watkins was found guilty of strangling Alexandra De Fina in their residence on Wornall Lane in May 2023.
He was subsequently indicted by a grand jury in July 2023. The Commonwealth’s Attorney’s Office indicates that Watkins entered a guilty plea to the charge of murder on Friday, following an extensive negotiation process that involved Alexandra’s family.
Watkins will not be eligible for parole until he has completed a minimum of 20 years of his sentence.
