Alexander K Sparks,Angela A Gray – The Washington State Patrol is currently conducting an investigation into a deadly collision involving a pedestrian on Interstate 90 near Moses Lake, but has yet to disclose any details regarding the victim as officials strive to verify their identity.
The incident took place shortly before noon on Sunday, close to milepost 176 within the city limits of Moses Lake. As per the WSP press release, a gray 2020 Subaru Forester was heading eastbound when it collided with a pedestrian who was on the roadway. The pedestrian succumbed to injuries at the scene.
The driver, identified as 30-year-old Alexander K. Sparks from Everett, did not sustain any injuries. A passenger, 31-year-old Angela A. Gray, also from Everett, was unharmed. Both individuals were wearing seatbelts at the time of the incident.
The memo states that the cause of the crash is “under investigation” and does not offer any information regarding the reasons for the pedestrian’s presence on the roadway. There has been no information released concerning the possible involvement of drugs or alcohol.
The pedestrian was the sole individual reported to have been injured or killed in the collision. The WSP has not provided any details about the individual’s identity, including age or gender, citing challenges in establishing a positive identification due to the condition of the body. The victim is currently being examined by the Grant County Coroner’s Office.
