Alex Vasquez,Daniel Marcelo Obituary, Death;- The Massachusetts State Police have confirmed the identities of the two individuals who lost their lives in a car accident on I-495 in Haverhill earlier this month. They are 27-year-old Alex Vasquez, a resident of Lawrence, and 39-year-old Daniel Marcelo.
According to State Police, the incident occurred in the early hours of June 2. Troopers were dispatched following a report of an individual walking in the median of I-495 at approximately 3:45 a.m. The pedestrian was subsequently transported to a hospital for medical care, as stated by State Police. The authorities have not disclosed the cause of the accident.
While the pedestrian was receiving medical assistance from Haverhill police, they were located in a nearby parking lot, as reported by State Police. The pedestrian informed the troopers that they had been in a vehicle with two other individuals at the time of the crash on the highway.
Troopers discovered the vehicle well beyond the tree line adjacent to the southbound lane of I-495, according to State Police. Unfortunately, Vasquez and Marcelo were pronounced dead at the scene.
