Albert David Elliott,Melissa Sue Willard Obituary, Death; – Two individuals have lost their lives following a crash that occurred on Monday in Henry County, as reported by the Virginia State Police. Authorities indicated that they received notifications regarding a single-vehicle accident at approximately 12:30 p.m. on Route 58, close to Summit Drive.
As per the police report, a 2000 Chevrolet Silverado was heading east on Route 58 when it veered off the left side of the roadway, crossed the median, and collided with the trailer of a parked tractor-trailer. The driver has been identified as Albert David Elliott, aged 62, while the passenger is Melissa Sue Willard, aged 57, both of whom were residents of Henry County.
Tragically, both individuals were pronounced dead at the scene, and it has been confirmed that they were wearing their seatbelts at the time of the incident, according to police. The Virginia State Police are continuing their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash.
