Aidan Russell Obituary, Death;- Wallingford police have identified the 19-year-old who lost his life in a motorcycle accident on South Colony Road on Tuesday.
Aidan Russell, from North Haven, was recognized as the motorcyclist, and it is believed that he was wearing a helmet at the time of the incident near the intersection with Wharton Brook Connector, which serves as the entrance to Interstate 91, according to Lt. Stephen Jaques.
A police investigation revealed that the collision involved two vehicles: a Suzuki SV650 motorcycle and a Lexus RX450, Jaques stated.
“The motorcyclist was traveling north, while the Lexus was moving south when the driver executed a left turn onto the Wharton Brook Connector, leading to the collision,” Jaques explained.
Despite the efforts of responders to perform life-saving measures, Russell unfortunately succumbed to his injuries, Jaques reported. The other driver, a 46-year-old man, remained at the scene and cooperated with law enforcement, Jaques noted. No arrests were made at the scene, he added.
