Adrian Martinez Obituary, Death; The Nueces County Medical Examiner’s Office has identified a man killed in a shooting at a Southside residence on July 7.
Adrian Martinez, 44, died from a gunshot wound that he suffered inside a residence in the 5000 block of Cain Drive. Earlier this week, Corpus Christi police arrested the suspected shooter, 40-year-old Kimberly Rodriguez, and charged her with murder.
The two people were dating, Corpus Christi Police Department senior officer Antonio Contreras said on July 9. Police officers found Martinez inside of a residence at 8:05 a.m. on July 7 with an apparent gunshot wound, according to a news release written by Contreras.
They transported him to a local hospital, where he died from his injuries, the news release said. Rodriguez had left the location before the police arrived, and officers later took her into custody. The investigation is active, police said.
