Adam Suboh Arrested; – The deputy who fatally shot an armed assault suspect during a pursuit on Friday night has been named by the Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputy Adam Suboh served as a police officer for six years before joining the sheriff’s office in December 2024. He is currently on critical incident leave, which is standard procedure.

The incident began around 7:30 p.m. when Gresham Police and MCSO deputies responded to a physical altercation near Northeast 162nd Avenue and Glisan Street, where one of the individuals involved was armed.

Officers established probable cause to arrest a man for assault and other offenses. When they attempted to apprehend him, he fled the scene.

A Gresham officer also deployed a 40mm less-lethal projectile during the event, according to police reports.

Investigators located a handgun near the suspect, who has not yet been named. He was transported to the hospital, where he was declared deceased.
Gresham Police and the East County Major Crimes Team are conducting an investigation into the shooting.

Authorities are encouraging anyone with information regarding the incident to reach out to Detective Martin Daly at Martin.Daly@GreshamOregon.gov or Detective Dylan Lerch at Dylan.Lerch@mcso.us.
