Aaliyah Gonzalez Obituary, Death; Naples man wanted for 18-year-old woman’s murder caught after 3 months on the run

Aaliyah Gonzalez Obituary, Death; – After a monthslong search, a wanted Naples man was located and will face charges in connection with a shooting that killed 18-year-old Aaliyah Gonzalez.

Antonio Michael Licout, 19, was taken into custody in Colorado and extradited to Florida on Thursday night to face charges for the April 10 shooting that killed Gonzalez.

According to the Collier County Sheriff’s Office, Licout fired shots into a white Lexus that Gonzalez and four others were in after a verbal altercation near Airport-Pulling Road North and Ponce De Leon Drive.

Witnesses identified Licout as the shooter. Deputies said Gonzalez was critically injured and died later that day at a trauma hospital. Licout was apprehended on July 11 in Alamosa, Colorado, by the Alamosa Police Department.

According to the CCSO, detectives learned Licout was hiding out at a relative’s house in the area approximately 180 miles southwest of Colorado Springs. Deputies with CCSO’s Fugitive Warrants Bureau transported Licout back to the Naples Jail Center, and he was booked on the sheriff’s office’s warrants.

Licout is facing charges of second-degree murder, aggravated battery (using a deadly weapon), aggravated assault and shooting or throwing a missile into an occupied vehicle.
