Amie Gray Obituary, Death; – A woman who sustained severe injuries during the same incident that resulted in the death of physical trainer Amie Gray on Bournemouth beach testified to the police that her friend had “saved her life,” as presented in court.
Nasen Saadi, a 20-year-old from Croydon, south London, is currently on trial at Winchester Crown Court, facing charges of murdering Ms. Gray, aged 34, at Durley Chine Beach, West Undercliff Promenade, on May 24, as well as the attempted murder of Leanne Miles at the same site.
The court was informed that the entrance for paramedic first responders to the promenade was initially obstructed until police utilized bolt cutters to unlock a gate.
Sarah Jones KC, the prosecutor, stated that upon the arrival of paramedics, Ms. Gray was found to be “unconscious, unresponsive, not breathing, and cold to the touch,” raising concerns that she might already be deceased.
She noted that efforts were made to revive her, including CPR, but Ms. Gray was declared dead at 12:24 AM. Ms. Jones recounted that after police notified Ms. Miles, 39, of Ms. Gray’s death, she remarked that “Amie Gray had saved her life.”
Dr. Basil Purdue, a pathologist from the Home Office, testified during the trial that Ms. Gray succumbed to injuries from ten knife wounds, while Ms. Miles endured twenty knife injuries.
The prosecutor also mentioned that following Saadi’s arrest on May 28, police conducted a search of his bedroom at his aunt’s residence, where he was staying, and discovered five knives, including a machete and a decorative knife. Additionally, officers confiscated a blue Trespass rucksack that contained white lat.
